STURGIS, S.D. – Kristi Noem was on Sturgis on Friday, meeting with community members and talking about growing business.
She met at Pizza Ranch, and shared ideas about how to grow female entrepreneurship in the state. Currently, South Dakota leads the nation in rates of working moms. Eight out of ten mothers work at least a part time job on top of being a parent. Noem then stressed the need for higher paying jobs which can help support families.
“[We’re] talking about my race for governor and my vision for our state and really how we can open up some opportunities for growth,” Noem said. Not just for businesses but also for families and what we can do to promote more opportunities for future generations.”
Noem also visited veterans at the Hot Springs VA after the event in Sturgis.
